| Dorothy Doughty MN, RN, FNP, CWOCN, FAAN | |||
Dorothy earned her BSN from Medical College of GA and her MN in Medical-Surgical Nursing from Emory University and her ET certification from Emory University. Since 1984, she has worked as the Program Director at Emory University Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Education Program. Over the years, Dorothy has been an integral part of the WOCN Society, she has served on various committees, and held several positions including Treasurer, Vice-President and President from 1999 to 2001. She has also served as the Consulting Editor and Editor for the Wounds section for the Journal of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing. Dorothy was awarded the WOCN’s President’s Award in 1994. She is sought after speaker, having lectured extensive both nationally and internationally and has written numerous publications on wound, ostomy and continence nursing. |

| Course Outline | |||
| This course is designed as an update for the Wound Ostomy Continence nurse and as partial preparation for the WOC nursing certification exam. Topics will include differential wound assessment, guidelines for management of trunk wounds and lower extremity ulcers, management of standard and continent diversions, and differential assessment and management of urinary and fecal incontinence. | |||
